CPD Workshops

MLAS CPD WORKSHOPS

Whether it’s to keep abreast of changes in housing legislation, network with other landlords or collect those ever important points, CPD courses are an essential part of MLAS accreditation.

MLAS Accreditation is for 5 years.  You will be re-accredited (free of charge) after this time if you can show that you have taken reasonable steps to maintain and develop your knowledge.

In order to satisfy MLAS criteria, you need to accrue 50 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points over the 5 years of your accreditation.

If you do not manage to accrue 50 points, you will need to attend another MLAS one day seminar (and pay the associated fee(s)), so we can ensure that your knowledge and practice is kept up to date.

For 2013, MLAS CPD Workshops are charged at  £19.00 per person, per workshop. Events are open to ALL landlords, unless otherwise stated.

The full list of Workshops, CPD Policy and Points Criteria and MLAS Self Assessment CPD Form (where you keep a record of all CPD Workshops you attend) are available to download as a PDF under LANDLORD RESOURCES.

LOCAL AUTHORITY TRAINING WORKSHOPS

Some Authorities offer workshops or forums to Landlords at no charge. These can contribute to your MLAS CPD points.

If you have attended such a course, please keep a record on the MLAS CPD Course sheet which can be downloaded under the LANDLORD RESOURCES section.

Each year we will ask you if you have undertook any professional development and you can forward your record of training to us.

Remember  points count towards extending your Accreditation Membership!!!

REFER A FRIEND TO MLAS!

Introduce a colleague to the MLAS scheme and have your next CPD session on us!

When the person you refer completes the application form, make sure they let us know YOU told them about the scheme – if they fulfil the criteria and become an accredited landlord then we’ll waive the fee for your next MLAS CPD course!

On top of that, your free sessions are endless – the more people that book onto a Development Seminar through your recommendation, the more CPD sessions you will receive absolutely free of charge. It’s that simple!

Please contact us for more details!
